Identified apolipoproteins areanti-atherogenic (apoAI, apoAII, apoAIV, apoCI, apoCII, and apoCIII) or atherogenic(apoB100, apoF) factors; however, our results showed that this simple division didnot explain the higher incidence of atherosclerosis and cardiac events in CKDpatients. This evidence concerns the gene APOF and atherosclerosis.
