In this study, we identified several genes including the cytokines Il-6, Tgfb2, Cxcl1, and Ctgf, metallopeptidases Mmp13, Adamts1, Adamts4, and Adamts5, and transcription factors Junb, Fos, Stat3 and Cebpb that were up-regulated in osteoblasts as a result of prostate cancer–osteoblast interactions. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and prostate carcinoma.
