In publicly available databases, MXRA5 was found to be up‐regulated in several forms of CKD, such as focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), diabetic nephropathy, lupus nephritis, rapidly progressing glomerulonephritis and dysfunctional transplanted kidneys as well as in clear cell sarcoma, while there was no change in nephrosclerosis or renal cell carcinoma (Table 2). Here, MXRA5 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
