As compared to women with bowel movement frequency of once daily, those with more frequent bowel movements (i.e., more than once daily) had higher BMI and total energy intake, and were also more likely to have hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, ulcerative colitis, cholecystectomy and use multivitamin, aspirin, other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, thiazide diuretics, and thyroid hormone.
