Clearly, in the group of keloid keratinocytes transfected with miR-21-5p inhibitor, the expression of p-AKT was significantly decreased (P < 0.05) with the reversed EMT phenotype including enhanced E-cadherin (P < 0.05) and reduced vimentin (P < 0.01), as well as the decreased expressions of stemness marker CD44, and ALDH1 (P < 0.05). The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is keloid.
