These experiments suggest that the proliferative pathways driven by CD44 and RHAMM are important for anchorage independent and dependent growth of some bladder cancer cells (UMUC3) irrespective of AGL expression status but in others (T24T and MGHU4), there proliferative pathways are more important for the fast growing AGL knockdown cells. This evidence concerns the gene CD44 and urinary bladder carcinoma.
