Now that aberrant activation of mTOR/p70S6K pathway plays an important role in tumorigenesis and phosphorylated p70S6K by mTOR has higher activity to promote translation than p70S6K [6, 9], we speculated the combination of mTOR inhibitor and p70S6K siRNA could inhibit mTOR/p70S6K pathway at the most extent and thus inhibit tumor growth better.
