Anaplastic glioma or glioblastoma patients carrying mutant IDH1 or IDH2 are significantly younger than those harboring wild-type IDH1 and IDH2.[22, 23] Our findings are consistent with these studies in that the frequency of IDH mutations was low in patients aged above 50 (13% vs. 32%, P < 0.0001). Here, IDH2 is linked to glioblastoma.
