Previous infection studies reported clear results regarding the phosphorylation of CagA EPIYA motifs [13, 14, 16, 19, 92–94], however, most of them used α-PY20 or α-PY99 phosphotyrosine antibodies, which allows detection of a multitude of Western and East Asian CagAs and is correlating well with the obtained results in the current study. This evidence concerns the gene S100A8 and infection.
