Therefore, our results suggest that the reduced growth rates observed in the ESCC cell lines upon UBE2C silencing might be a consequence of the arrest in G2/M phase of cell cycle, that is induced by a reduced degradation of cyclin B1, caused by the suppression of UBE2C expression, that was particularly observed in TE-1 cell line.
