Both mechanisms are in agreement with a regulatory function of LASP1 in MMP vesicle secretion in breast cancer as earlier immunoprecipitation studies demonstrated a distinct LASP1-dynamin [14] and LASP1-actin [40] interaction in breast cancer cells and a co-localisation of LASP1, F-actin and dynamin in podosomes [8, 41]. This evidence concerns the gene LASP1 and breast carcinoma.
