Finally, using BRAF-mutated colorectal carcinoma cells (i.e. Colo-201 and Colo-205 in Supplementary Figure S4A and B) and HER2-overexpressing mammary carcinoma cells (i.e. SK-BR-3 and MDA-MB-453 in Supplementary Figure S4C), we consistently detected an inverse correlation between p27/stathmin cytoplasmic ratio and the activation of ERK1/2 and the expression of EGR-1 (Supplementary Figure S4A-C). The gene discussed is MAPK3; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
