Data obtained in mouse models were similar to those seen in patients with HD, as plasma levels of several inflammatory molecules, including IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, IL-10, IL-1β, and IL-12p70, were elevated in the HD mouse models R6/2, HdhQ150 (murine model expressing 150 CAG repeats inserted in the mouse endogenous HTT gene first exon), and YAC128 [8, 12, 42]. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and Huntington disease.
