ICAM1 and skin basal cell carcinoma: In a prospective study, Glaser et al. [53] measured the levels of mRNA for CD3e (a T-cell surface marker), CD25 (alpha chain of IL-2 receptor expressed on activated T-cells and B-cells), CD68 (marker for monocytes/macrophages), the cell surface glycoprotein ICAM-1 (intercellular adhesion molecule-1), and the cytokines interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and IL-10 in BCC tumors from 138 patients.
