We, therefore, decided to evaluate in vivo bronchoalveolar (BA) expression of six RBPs (AUF1, HuR, NCL, TIA, TIAR and PCBP2) and of two possible targets of RBPs (MMP-9 inhibitor RECK and PTEN) in our patients with pulmonary sarcoidosis and compare it with that in four control groups including healthy subjects, obstructive (COPD and asthma) and non-obstructive pathologies (IIPs). This evidence concerns the gene ELAVL1 and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
