Our meta-analysis based on case-control studies involving 40,985 subjects brings to light that there is no significant association between MTHFR gene 1298A>C polymorphism and breast cancer susceptibility for overall population, with ORs from 0.99 to 1.00 and narrow 95 % CIs for all of the five genetic models. The gene discussed is MTHFR; the disease is breast cancer.
