GPT and hyperuricemia: After further adjustment for WC, BMI, smoking, drinking, education level, physical activity, family income, history of CVD, BP, FPG and lipid profiles (model 2), we found that hyperuricemia was positively associated with elevated ALT (OR 2.032, 95% CI 1.443–2.861 for men; OR 2.045, 95% CI 1.221–3.425 for women).
