TRIB2-mediated degradation of C/EBPα was found to have an oncogenic role in the development of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) [12,13], and in lung [14] and liver [15,16] models of cancer, whereas TRIB2-mediated degradation of C/EBPβ has been found to suppress adipogenesis in vitro [17]. The gene discussed is TRIB2; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
