In a phase II clinical trial of the proteasome inhibitor bortezomib (see below) in combination with ifosfamide/vinorelbine, nuclear phospho-RelA and RelB NF-κB subunits, as well as cytoplasmic RelB, were overexpressed in all relapsed HL patients compared to either non-malignant tissue or to HL patients at original diagnosis, but expression of these proteins was not associated with EBV status [65].
