BRAF and melanoma: In conclusion, our data also indicate that both the MEK-i PD0325901 and the BRAF-i PLX4032 do not exert any inhibitory effect on IL-2 or IL-15 pre-activated NK cells, thus suggesting that NK cell-based immunotherapy, used in combination with BRAF/MEK inhibitors, may represent an novel promising strategy in the treatment of melanomas.
