In the context of a retrospective analysis of 107 NSCLC cases, ALK amplification (>5 copies of ALK per cell in 10 % of analyzed cells) and ALK-CNG (mean copy number of 3–5 in 10 % of cells) were identified in the 10 % and 63 % of NSCLC patients, respectively. Here, ALK is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
