On the other hand, clinical evaluation of PAD status with Rutherford classification was more reliable in this study, and we compared Rutherford classification with biomarkers, which showed that PTX3 was significantly correlated with Rutherford classification (r = 0.661 and p = 0.019); PTX3 level was higher in patients with CLI than in those without it. The gene discussed is PTX3; the disease is peripheral arterial disease.
