We found that downregulation of JKAP protein levels in peripheral blood T cells were significantly correlated with fever (P = 0.022) and nephritis (P = 0.001) but not with rash, arthritis, cutaneous vasculitis, oral ulcer, serositis or CNS involvement in SLE patients (Table 2). The gene discussed is DUSP22; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
