Collectively, Ets2 knockdown by RNA interference effectively promoted ESCC cell apoptosis, decreased ESCC cell proliferation, inhibited migration, induced G0/G1 arrest and attenuated invasion of ESCC cells in vitro and in vivo, via inactivating the mTOR/p70S6K signaling pathway. The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
