Our demonstration that miR-146b-5p alters the motility, migration and invasion capacities of T-ALL cell lines in vitro is in agreement with previous findings in solid tumors40, 43, 44, 50, including osteosarcoma (via AUF1 regulation)39, breast cancer40 (via NF-κB regulation)41, glioma (via MMP1642 and EGFR43 regulation), and pancreatic cancer (via MMP16 regulation)44. The gene discussed is MMP16; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
