Many of the randomised clinical trials examining the efficacy of pre-treatment with P2Y12 inhibition are heterogeneous in their study populations, including patients with stable angina [7], not scheduled for angiography [5], randomised after angiography [8], post fibrinolysis [9], and only with ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome (STE-ACS) [10].
