Increased expressions of CD45+ and CD3+ and a decreased CD4+/CD8+ ratio, meaning an immunity disorder, were found in IBS rats, while CHM, which acted to warming the kidney and invigorating the spleen, could reduce the expressions of CD45+ and CD3+ and increase the CD4+/CD8+ ratio, indicating a regulative effect in immune response [42].
