CXCL1 (chemokine with C-X-C motif ligand 1) is a member of the CXC chemokine family and promotes neoplastic transformation, tumorigenesis, and angiogenesis in breast, lung, pancreatic, colorectal, bladder, and prostate cancer, as well as in melanoma, by binding specifically to CXCR2 [4–9]. Here, CXCL1 is linked to melanoma.
