Sarcopenia was found to be significantly associated with a male gender (p < 0.001), poor performance status (p = 0.049), and lower BMI (p < 0.001), and with inflammatory markers, that is, a high NLR (p = 0.011) and CRP (p = 0.026) and a low lymphocyte count (p = 0.002) and serum albumin level (p = 0.041). Here, CRP is linked to sarcopenia.
