We did not detect differences in CYP7A1 and SHP mRNA when HepG2-NTCP cells were treated with TβMCA/TCA at a ratio of 2.3 versus 0.7 (similar to the ratio in the liver of animals with cholestasis and combined steatosis and cholestasis, respectively; p > 0.05; Supplementary Fig. S6). This evidence concerns the gene CYP7A1 and steatosis.
