The identification of recurring t(6;9) and t(8;9) chromosomal translocations resulting in MYB-NFIB and MYBL1-NFIB fusion oncogenes and the unravel of the role of super-enhancer translocations in the oncogene activation, dramatically extend our understanding of the role of the MYB transcription factors in the pathogenesis of ACC. Here, NFIB is linked to adrenal cortex carcinoma.
