We also investigated CYFIP1 protein expression in the Alzheimer’s disease forebrain, as CYFIP1 and CYFIP2 are thought to have similar functionsin vitro, although these two proteins do not compensate for each other in the haploinsufficient state in mice or humans (De Rubeiset al., 2013;Pathaniaet al., 2014;Cox and Butler, 2015). Here, CYFIP2 is linked to early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
