In this study, we evaluated the levels of a panel of six miRNAs (miR-223, miR-92a, miR-486, miR-122, miR-125a and miR-146a) in sera and HDL from stable angina (SA) and ACS patients, and the functional effects of ACS and SA patients’ sera, with or without hyperglycemia, on cultured human macrophages, namely on the gene expression of the processing machinery proteins (Dicer, Drosha, DGCR8) and analyzed miRNAs production. This evidence concerns the gene DGCR8 and angina pectoris.
