The negative effect of increased UCA1 expression on OS was demonstrated in patients with colorectal cancer (HR = 2.22; 95% CI = 1.34–3.11; P = 0.000), gastric cancer (HR= 2.13; 95% CI = 1.17–3.09; P = 0.000), non-small cell lung cancer (HR = 1.47; 95% CI = 1.10–1.83; P = 0.000) ovarian cancer (HR = 1.70; 95% CI = 0.79–2.61; P = 0.000) and other cancers (HR = 2.14; 95% CI = 1.37–2.92; P = 0.000). The gene discussed is UCA1; the disease is gastric cancer.
