For the present study these sporadic AD and control iPSCs were differentiated into neurons with extended neurites, with immunocytochemistry demonstrating the expression of the synaptic maturation protein Synapsin I, the post-synaptic marker PSD-95 (Fig. 3A–F) and the neuronal microtubule marker MAP2 (Fig. 3G–L), as well as GFAP-positive neural precursors/cells (Fig. 3G–L). Here, MAP2 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
