Hence, we showed that suppressing WNT2 decreases cytoplasmic and nuclear accumulation of β-catenin in human cervical cells, downregulating WNT2 in cervical cancer cells removes the β-catenin/E-cadherin association, and that decreasing β-catenin leads to the disappearance of E-cadherin from the cell surface.
