About two-thirds of the cancers were plotted in the 1st quadrant, which represents concurrent upregulation of KRT16 and KRT17. About one-third of the cancers were plotted in the 2nd quadrant, which represents upregulation of only KRT17. Only one cancer was plotted in the 4th quadrant, which represents upregulation of only KRT16 (Fig 1C). The gene discussed is KRT16; the disease is cancer.
