CD4 and tuberculosis: In the univariate analysis, variables that were significant at P < 0.10 were time-updated CD8 counts (P < 0.001), age (P = 0.005), mode of HIV exposure (P < 0.001), pre-cART CD4 count (P < 0.001), prior mono/dual therapy (P < 0.001), initial cART regimen (P < 0.001), CDC disease stage at cART initiation (P < 0.001), and prior tuberculosis diagnosis (P < 0.001).
