Western blot analysis showed that myricetin increases the expression of proapoptotic Bax by 283.8% (p < 0.01 vs. vehicle control) and 191.6% (p < 0.01 vs. vehicle control); and the apoptotic executor c-Caspase-3 by 167.4% (p < 0.01 vs. vehicle control) and 226.1% (p < 0.01 vs. vehicle control), in small intestinal and colonic polyps, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene BAX and intestinal disorder.
