[51] showed that several miRNAs, including miRNA-9, miRNA-125b, miRNA-146a and miRNA-155, were upregulated in both Alzheimer’s disease and AMD, and they were common to the pathogenetic mechanism of complement factor H (CFH) deficiency which drives inflammatory neurodegeneration.
