CRP and coronary artery disorder: Some of the pivotal pro-inflammatory mediators, including the cytokines tumour necrosis factor (TNF), interleukin 1 (IL-1) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) [7, 8], as well as the acute-phase reactant C-reactive protein (CRP), are involved in atherogenesis and eventually in the development of coronary artery diseases like MI [9].
