Further, in line with the observation that EPO-induced activation of JAK2/STAT5 signaling correlates with survival signaling [19], we showed in co-treatment experiments that EPO reduces the extent of cisplatin-induced apoptosis in H838 and H838-HA-hEPOR cells and thus exhibits a rescuing effect in the lung cancer cell line and its derivative. This evidence concerns the gene JAK2 and lung cancer.
