Indeed, those genes are important prognostic factors in glioma patients; in particular, IDH1 and IDH2 can be mutated in low-grade and anaplastic glioma, as well; in fact, mutations of IDH1 and IDH2 genes are found in 70% of grades II and III gliomas and secondary glioblastomas [1].
