GLP1R and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis: Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP1) is involved in the development of NASH, administration of a peptide agonist of the GLP1 receptor (Exendin-4) improved steatohepatitis through the increase of hepatic long chain saturated fatty acid levels and a hepatic n-3/n-6 PUFA ratio reduction, specifically by the regulation of hepatic fatty acid metabolism [55].
