Subjects with newly developed NAFLD were more likely to be with higher level of blood pressure, waist circumference, low-density lipoprotein, triglyceride, total cholesterol, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, lower level of direct bilirubin and high-density lipoprotein, and more often tend to occur smoking, alcohol drinking, diabetes, self-reported coronary heart disease, hypertension, and metabolic syndrome, compared with those which not developed NAFLD subjects. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and hypertensive disorder.
