Among these non-APOE AD risk genes, clusterin (CLU) and phosphatidylinositol binding clathrin assembly protein (PICALM) have been studied using a neuroimaging genetics approach more than any other risk genes (Biffi et al., 2010; Bralten et al., 2011; Braskie et al., 2011; Erk et al., 2011; Furney et al., 2011; Hohman et al., 2013; Green et al., 2014; Stevens et al., 2014; Harrison et al., 2015; Zhang et al., 2015; Harrison and Bookheimer, 2016). Here, PICALM is linked to Alzheimer disease.
