Effective TB control requires a deeper understanding of the impact of the immune response underlying the relative success of drug-resistant strains; therefore, to better understand whether impaired macrophage's function contributes to the insufficient mycobacterium control in MDR-TB patients, we investigated the differentiation and function of MDMs from patients with MDR-TB and in vitro function of IFN-γ in MDMs culture have been characterized. The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is multidrug-resistant tuberculosis.
