Given that our studies identified ephrinB2 as a crucial regulator of glioma invasion, whose expression is tightly controlled by ZEB2, a member of a class of transcription factors crucially involved in the control of tumour invasion35, we next wanted to confirm that the ZEB2–ephrinB2 pathway is active in the regulation of glioma invasion in an in vivo setting. This evidence concerns the gene EFNB2 and central nervous system cancer.
