Our data showed that ATP level of PDHA1 KO cells was significantly lower (P<0.001) than that of the parental cells, and such low level of ATP could be mostly alleviated by 4mM glutamine treatment (Figure 4D; P=0.217), suggesting that glutamine could partly improve cellular ATP production in the PDHA1 KO prostate cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene PDHA1 and prostate carcinoma.
