Conversely, HF rats treated with the DPPIV inhibitor vildagliptin exhibited an increase in FAC (34 ± 5 vs. 45 ± 3%, p < 0.05) (Figure 1A) and a reduction in IVRT (33 ± 2 vs. 27 ± 1 ms, p < 0.05) (Figure 1B) and in serum BNP 32 levels (0.93 ± 0.07 vs. 0.55 ± 0.02 ng/mL, p < 0.001) (Figure 1C) compared with the pretreatment period.
